Bro. Kolt was born and raised in Arkansas and grew up in Cabot, just 25 miles north of Little Rock. He was saved at the age of 13 and baptized by the authority of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Cabot, where he also surrendered to preach at the age of 18.
Bro. Kolt attended both the Little Rock Missionary Baptist Seminary and the Central Arkansas Baptist Bible Institute, where he received his associate’s degrees in Bible studies and missions.
After marrying the love of his life, Amy Mackrill, they began their small family in Stuttgart, AR, where he served as youth pastor for three years before they moved to Somerset, KY, where he also served for three years as youth and associate pastor at Langdon Street Baptist Church.
Then, both Amy and Kolt felt God calling them to serve as missionaries to Romania. Sent out by the Langdon Street Baptist Church, they served as missionaries for almost 10 years and helped to begin the work in Zarnesti, Romania.
Then, in February of 2025, The Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Lynn, AR, unanimously voted to call Bro. Kolt as their pastor. Bro. Kolt and his family have been faithfully serving there since June 2025.
Bro. Kolt and Amy have been married for 15 years and have three daughters together: Layla, 12, Eliza, 10, and Vivian, 6. They love serving the Lord together and spending time together as a family, playing games, watching movies, or visiting state parks.
“I want to personally welcome you to Pleasant Hill and say thank you for visiting our website and also for being our guest.”
